Opportunities to Care for our Neighbors in Need Food Pantry

The past few months we have seen an increase in people coming to the church needing food. In an effort to extend the love of God, we have opened a small food pantry.

If you would like to support this ministry here are some items that would be helpful…
  • Soup with flip top lids
  • Cans of Peanuts
  • Crackers (no bread please)
  • Boxed Milk
  • Plastic Spoons
  • Peanut Butter
  • Cereal

  • Things to keep in mind:
    - Some people who come for help do not have can openers, ovens or pots and pans.
    - Coupons and Buy One Get One Free Sales are a great way to save and help at the same time!
    Habitat for humanity

St. John’s is putting together a work team that will volunteer time to work with Habitat for Humanity in the Miami-Dade area.

No experience is necessary to work on a Habitat House- you simply need a heart that is in love with your neighbor in need and hands that are willing to serve (and get a little dirty!). At this time we are gathering names of people who would like to be notified of when we are getting ready to go work on a project.

If this is a ministry that interests you please contact the church office and give us your name and contact information so we can follow up with you.
